How do I get executorship?
An application for the Letters of Executorship must be made at the office of the Master of the High Court in the province where the deceased was lived during the 12 months before passing away. If the value of the estate is more than R250 000 the Master of the High Court will require a professional organisation, like a bank or Trust company (known as fiduciary service providers), to assist with the estate administration process, as there are certain requirements that must be met to finalise the estate in accordance with the law.
